QUALIFICATIONS / CRITERIA

(a) Membership of The Companion is open to only practicing, enlightened and serious minded male Muslim professionals whose commitment to the progress of Islam is in all respects, total and exemplary, and who possess a minimum basic qualification of National Certificate of Education or its equivalent.
(b) All members must be literate in the reading of the Qur’an.

CLASSIFICATION OF MEMBERSHIP

(1). Membership of The Companion shall be in four (4) main grade namely:
Grade 1 - Fellow of The Companion (FTC)
Grade2 - Full Member of The Companion (MTC)
Grade3 - Associate Member of The Companion (AMTC)
Grade4 - Observer.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR LEADERSHIP

(1) Leadership position is open to only active members, defined as a members who has achieved at all activities of The Companion during the preceding 12months to the month of Election of Officer(s)

RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES

A member is entitled:
(a) To introduce himself and be given due recognition as a member;
(b) To generally have unhindered and full participation in all programmes of The Companion;
(c) To aspire to any leadership position in The Companion;
(d) To obtain the membership packages, including the profile of The Companion;
(e) To host The Companion programmes as may be scheduled from time to time by the Executive Council.
(f) To enjoy any other benefits that may accrue from time to time.

DISCIPLINE

All members of The Companion including the officers are subjected to Islamic discipline.

FINANCE
The sources of finance of The Companion are:
a) Members subscriptions and contributions;
b) Special levies;
c) Profits from investments;
d) Voluntary donations;
e) Any other halal sources;
